Russian government agencies and regional authorities have allocated around 300 million rubles for the procurement of VPN services in 2026. The largest volume of funding was recorded in the Tyumen Region, which announced a tender worth 198 million rubles. Significant purchases are also planned in the Murmansk and Saratov regions, while federal clients include the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health, the Investigative Committee, and structures of Voentelecom.
The main goal of these state contracts is to ensure the stable operation of regional public warning systems. Utilizing this technology serves as a cost-effective alternative to leased communication lines. Such solutions provide secure remote connection for employees to the internal networks of government bodies, military-industrial complex enterprises, and air traffic control systems.
