An interest in cybersecurity inspired a student named Ivan and his team from Nizhny Novgorod to build the country's first legal VPN service.
Operating principles and features
The developed technology complies with local regulatory requirements and does not unlock restricted domestic websites. Instead, it helps run applications disabled by foreign sanctions by routing internet traffic through external servers in other countries.
The team submitted their project to the "Pusk" IT startup competition. Despite challenges with task management and late-night programming adjustments, their second attempt was successful, and they received 50,000 rubles for development in December.
