VPN fails to help some Russians access Google Gemini

Google's Gemini neural network has stopped working for some users in Russia, despite their use of bypass tools. Although geographic restrictions were already in place, the system now occasionally fails even when changing virtual locations.
The access difficulties are caused by the technical settings of many bypass services. To speed up search and email functions, they route traffic to Google resources directly, bypassing the secure connection. The disruptions became more frequent after the presentation of the updated Gemini 3.7 Flash version. Experts suggest that due to the specific settings of popular software, this issue could become widespread, whereas previously only isolated cases were reported.
In addition, a major update to the mobile ecosystem is expected. Starting September 4, the Google Assistant voice helper will cease to function on Android devices, giving way to Gemini.
