Massive VPN disruptions hit Russia due to tightened provider controls

Large-scale internet connection failures have been recorded across Russia, affecting numerous regions. The highest volume of complaints originated from residents of Moscow, the Moscow region, and the Republic of Karelia, with each of these regions accounting for 8% of the total reports. Yaroslavl region registered 6% of the complaints, Tyumen region accounted for 5%, and disruptions were also noted by users in Saint Petersburg, the Leningrad region, and Primorsky Krai.
Complaint analysis indicates that the Android operating system was the most affected by these technical difficulties, representing 38.5% of the reported issues. Users of iOS and Windows operating systems reported problems in equal measure at 29.2% each, while macOS device owners experienced the fewest issues, accounting for 3.1% of the total.
