First consecrated VPN launched in Russia

At the IT-2026 international conference, Vasily Glushkov, head of the Holy Synod's IT department, presented a new service called Holy Tunnel, developed by the Russian Orthodox Church. The creators note that only Orthodox specialists worked on the project, and the finished product was consecrated by senior church hierarchs, making its use completely safe and approved by the church.
Currently, access to the service is limited: it can only be used by parishioners who hold a special ID and have paid their membership fees. In the future, there are plans to open access to all residents of the country, as well as to Orthodox citizens from friendly nations. A monthly subscription is priced at 10,000 rubles, though users can get a discount of up to 30 percent when purchasing an annual plan.
